homework day 2 – Michael

Ultrasonic Ranger:

The LED gets brighter when the object is placed nearer to it.
code for the ultrasonic ranger

Touch sensor:

When the sensor is touched, the LED is turned on.

1) Why did you choose that specific sensor and output? How do you think you could use this sensor to create an interactive experience?

Touch sensors, nowadays, are widely used. For instance, when you are unlocking you phone, you need to put you finger on the screen. If it receives the right fingerpirnt, the screen will thus be lightened. On the other hand, I have seen ultrasonic rangers ultilized in many areas and they’re what I am familiar with. Instead of using our eyes to see the block in front of us, they can help us to detect objects in a condition which makes us hard to see things.

2) With the information you have so far and your personal experience, in what ways do you believe the computer influences our human behaviors? Give an example.

Computers have an influence on our daily lives. For instance, if there was not the computer, many entertainments related to the Internet would not have occured. Additionally, computers provide people with many more jobs, including game designers, programmers, and fixing staff and so on.
